Reiter Cleanup May 2007

May 7th, 2007

Well, Reiter has claimed 2 of my weekends in a row. Good times! The cleanup was a success. Tons of people there and i saw just about everyone with garbage bags helping out. My group pulled out:

  • 1 - 20″ TV
  • 1 - 1″ x 20′ steel cable
  • 1 - car battery
  • 5 bags of trash

Oh and of course we did some wheeling while we were at it! Checkout Jordan’s pictures.

Trail 101 with WATTORA

April 29th, 2007

Well i finally got a chance to go on my first trail run with WATTORA. It was a great day and i got the chance to meet and hang out with some cool people that are just as passionate about offroading as i am. Wasn’t a whole lot of “101ing” going on, but we had an awesome day non the less. Here are some teaser pic’s. Be sure to checkout the rest of the pictures in the 4WD Toyota Gallery.

Lining up some of the vehicles in the group at the Safeway in Monroe.

Definetely found the hole in the mud pit. Luckily the door seals held and i was out in no time. This was the beginning of a lot of laughs.

The view from atop Index Wall. It amazes me every time.

Preserve our Trails!

April 27th, 2007

Legislation is continuously being passed that threatens the livelihood of our sport. Trails systems are being closed because of the perception that offroad vehicles are destroying the environment and that our sport is one made up of irresponsible hicks going out and destroying the forest. Help protect our vital trails by signing the petition below. Everything we can do helps!

By signing the Public Lands Petition you are advocating the following:

  • “BackCountry Recreation Designation will promote greater biodiversity by allowing active management under the strictest regulations in the world.”
  • “Support the creation of a federally legislated Semi Primitive BackCountry Recreation designation to preserve all existing Multiple Use lands for all existing forms of recreation & management.”
  • “We are opposed to the creation of a pilot program of Wildland Restoration Areas, which propose to remove 6300 miles of backcountry roads without any public involvement.”

Verizon claims .002 Cents=.002 Dollars

December 9th, 2006

In this sound clip a man has a conversation with several Verizon representatives and supervisors. He is trying to get his bill straightened out, but the people at Verizon can’t seem to understand that .002 cents does NOT = .002 dollars. Pretty hilarious.

Day 1 - Dana 44 Axle is here!!!!! - Solid Axle Swap Begins

November 25th, 2006

I finally found a right side, no vac assist, Dana 44 axle. This axle came out of a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The axle was originaly located in Oregon but ended up here at a WATTORA member’s shop. Thanks to Brent (4TACXOMA4) for meeting me in Issaquah with the axle. Next is to begin the tear down.
